The following simple steps, will help you get the most from your fitted cloth nappies
We recommend washing your nappy before first use
(they will not fit or absorb correctly otherwise).
Maximum absorbency will occur between 2 and 5 wash cycles.
Don’t use Bleach, Napisan or Borax on ANY Cherub's Kiss™ nappies.
Vinegar is not recommended for the All in Ones or any other product made with Fleece, as it may cause wicking.
Fabric softeners will cause your nappies to repel liquids.
It is recommended that you do not use them.
Fitted Cloth Nappies do NOT need to be soaked in a bucket of water and Napisan. Deposit any solid waste into the toilet, rinse as necessary
and place the dirty nappies in a dry bucket with a tight fitting lid.
Fold Aplix® tabs over so that they don't snag your washing.
Nappies should be first rinsed on cold. Then, using half the recommended amount of your regular washing powder, wash on
warm (40 degrees Celsius if possible). Hot is not recommended by Malden Mills, the makers of the fleece outer.
You may dry your HoneyBoy!™ in a dryer set to warm,
or on a clothes line. We recommend line drying when ever possible
as the sun will help bleach any stains away. Always hang your nappies out with the Inner exposed to the sun.
Fleece nappies washed with other types of nappies (ie terries) will probably attract pills from the other fabrics. This secondary pilling does NOT equal wear and tear and will eventually fade completely off your fleece nappy. If you wish to guard against secondary pilling, wash your fleece nappies separately, or in a lingerie bag.
